When should I dial 9-1-1?

You should dial 9-1-1 to report a fire, medical emergency, or a crime in progress (burglary, robbery, fight, etc.) or any other life-threatening emergency (vehicle crash, etc.).  If you are using your cellular phone, you will need to tell the dispatcher your location.  Stay on the line and do not hang up until instructed to do so by the dispatcher.
